A female Lobi sculpture collected in the borderdestrict of Burkina/Ivory Coast close to Galgouli, typical for this carver is the "heartshaped fascial plane" and the slightly protruding chin, which is characteristic for many Lobi-sculptors of the Ivory Coast and shows the influence of the Senufo-tribes. We collected this time four exemplares of this workshop from probably three different carvers. This sculpture is - maybe - one of the best.
