One of the exemplares of the first type of Bamana masks of Korodougou, collected in the village Sanba, commune de Tarako; fabric, calabasse, bamboo and cowrie shells, this and the other two are the oldest models of Bamana masks a long time before they were made of wood, according of my information, they are n´t descriibed in literature, Daba Diarra said, that they are part of the N´tomo initiation ceremony, but only in some villages of the Bamana country, nowadays these masks are extremly rare, because they are much more fragile than ritual objects carved of wood.
