A Bamana Maternity of the Doila region, posted on a rounded base, shortened bent legs, a slender torso with a pointed small navel, conical breasts, the rounded shoulders ending up in curved arms in open works, the long neck surmounted by a helmet like head with a flattened face, framed by stylized pigtails, the child on the backside of the sculpture: blackened, shiny patina with remnants sacrifications, some original repairs with metal brackets.
