A female Lobi Bateba of a Bonko carver , who carved in the tradition of the Dikoté Dah style, wellknown in several exemplares in literature ( s. Skulpturen Museum, Glaskasten, Marl, 2011, page 18/19, Magie Lobi, 2004, page 110/111Galerie Flak, Homepage Floros Katsouros, I guess that this is an early exemplare of this workshop coming from an tradition, which goes back to well known Bonko carvers, which Daniela Bognolo subsumed to Youl Bolaré (Rietberg Catalogue, Afrikanische Meister, Abb 27) or early exemplares we sold recently

Dikoté Dah and an early sculpture of the Bonko style
