Two Lobi sculptures of the carver Tjipothé (Dikoté) Dah, a well-known Bonko woodcarver not far from Gaoua, whose widow I interviewed not far from the former house of Youl Bolaré. From her is also the photo of your husband, which I show here. In the interview, which unfortunately was not recorded due to technical disturbances, I noted the name of the carver with "Dikoté Dah". Later I learned that there was probably a hearing error and his real name was "Tjipothe Dah". While a few years ago there were still sculptures of this Schnitzer in huts of fetishers in Bonko, nearly all sculptures have been sold or stolen. Thomas Keller sees this carver as well as Youl Bolaré in succession of Sikire Kambire s. Keller Lobi Statuary, Sikire Kambire, 2015, page 44 ff
