A large "muso massa" Bamana sculputure, standing on a circular base, hanging, tapering breasts and elongated arms, the helmetlike head with a high abstract fascial plane; encusted patina, remnants of kaolin in particular on the face, the origin is from the other side of the river, Segou region. According of the base of this sculpture and the condition in general this figure is high aged. Bamana sculptures of this size and age become extremly rare nowadays. We collected only one figure of this dimension in the last ten years since we are living in Mali.
