A technique, which is still existing today..."The potter then turns slowly the mold as she adds short, thick coils of clay moulded in the palm of her hands in order to build up sides. In order to model the pot in the required shape and smooth it, she turns the pot in front of her with one hand while modelling and smoothing it with the other"
