A Baule hollowed facemask of oval form with a broard collar, piered at the rim for attachments, the chin with a plaited goatee, the oval mouth framed by linear scarifications, a fine naturalistic nose, the bulging oval eyes encircled by high arched brows, in the center of the forehead linear scarification patterns, a plate-like coiffure surmounted by two seated male and female sculptures, which are an indication more of a Baule than a Guro provenance; fine honey-coloured, shiny patina, insect damage at the right temple, one figure was broken and repaired in unprodessional form. This mask has the same provenance like the two Baule sculptures of this folder, collected in the vicinity of Bouake, Central Ivory Coast.
