A female Attie healing sculpture from the Lagoon-people, Ivory Coast; the wooden pins aren´t signs of scarifications, how its written sometimes in Western literature, they are places for ritual medicine, we have collected sculptures with moveable pins and with pins, which are fixed together with the healing figure, (like this one) .We don´t have explanations for this differces; Traces of kaolin all over the sculpture.
