This photo isn´t from Malick Sidibé.It is from the photographer Sory from Ougadougo, Burkina Faso. Sory, whom I visited in 2013, told the phot: "At that time the footballers did not always have balls like we have today." Often the balls were broken and they were stuffed with grass to play with them.
When I visited the studio with his old scenes of Sory, it was similar like the studio of Adama Kouyaté, Segou, and Malick Sidibé, Bamako, still in the state of the 1960 / 70s as a photo of me personally, which made the high aged photographer at that time, is verifying.
This and the penultimate photo are additions to the 14 photos by Malick Sidibé.
