A female Baule sculpture, Ivory Coast, seated on a stool, wearing a "western" shirt, which became common in the Baule villages in the 1950/60th, although these sculptures were tribally used in the same way like the figures in the traditional shape, normally these sculptures were subsumed in a way of misunderstanding under the label "colon figures".
