A female Senufo sculpture of the Northern part of the Ivory Coast close to the border of Burkina Faso, based on a fragmentary four leg stool, the protruding abdomen with a pointed navel, the hands touching the butocks, enormous elongated, hanging and tapering breasts, decorated with scarifications around the navel, a thick, shortened neck supporting an oval head with high abstract fascial features, the headdress in the manner of the old traditional coiffure of the Senufo woman; fine brown to reddish surface, partly shiny, incl. stand.
