This carver/workshop is well documented in literature, auctionhouses and the Yale Guye van Rijn Archive of African Art. Large, old exemplares like these ones are rare and high-valued at the international market. We suppose at least two carvers with different creation-periods of this workshop. It is probably only a question of time, that this carver/workshop will be located and named. Sources of analogous exemplares on request.
