You can still meet them today in the open air, even in Segou I have seen them on the edge of the road more often. The figure stands on block-like feet, the legs are slightly bent. The shamrock is not an element of the colonization as it is occasionally in the literature but has a long tradition with the Bamana. Large, hanging breasts, a prolonged neck carries a disproportionately large head with the hairstyle of a young girl.

Eine imposante weibliche Bamana Skulptur mit den Insignien der Küche, die zugleich eine bedeutende Rolle als Fetisch Instrument besitzen. Man trifft sie noch Heute vielfach im Freien, sogar in Segou habe ich sie häufiger am Wegesrand gesehen. Die Figur steht auf block-artigen Füßen, die Beine sind leicht gebeugt. Der Schamschurz ist kein Element der Kolonisation wie es gelegentlich in der Literatur heißt sondern hat bei den Bamana eine lange Tradition. Große, hängende Brüste, ein verlängerter Hals trägt einen überproportional großen Kopf mit der Frisur eines jungen Mädchens.
