A male Baule sculpture, posted on a rectangular plinth., remnants of sacrifications, but obviously washed off. Ooccasionally Baule figures are rinsed off for ritual reasons before they go on sale. This seems to have been the case with this figure as well.; natural reddish patina, repairs in paticular at the back of the figure.
