A Kran chimpanzee mask, borderdestrict Liberia/Ivory Coast, a protruding, open tube like mouth showes a rare appearance of a chimpanzee mask of the Dan-Kran. On both outer surfaces of its accentuated cheeks, this mask displays simple, linear reliefs, which are typical for the Ubi and Kran, remnants of a sacrification patina in particular on top of the mask.
