A Baule Maternity, Bouaflé region, close to Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast, seated on a two-legged stool, holding a child in her elongated arms, sagging and tapering breasts, the strong neck is supporting a large oval head, fine facial features, arched eye brows which are connected with each other and with a slender triangular nose, a small pointed mouth, striated coiffure, large part of the body are covered with scarification patterns, glossy, blackened patina with remnants of oxidized oil.
