A hallowed Baule mask, Ivory Coast, with a goatee, a pointed mouth beneath a slender nose framed by semicircular eyes, hemispherical ears, scarification marks on the temples and nose, the face with a heart-shaped facial plane, surmounted with a corona similar headdress, pierced through at the rim for attachmen; brown to reddish surface, traces of age and ritual use, provenance Amadou Bouaflé.
