A Baule / Yaure mask, Ivory Coast, region Bouaflé, village Toumoukro, of oval hollowed form, a pointed mouth beneath a slender, slightly concave vaulted nose framed by lowered eyelids, arching, patterned brows, scarification marks on the temples, zigzag patterns in bas-relief encircling the chin, wearing intricately incised coiffure, surmounted by two Kalao, pierced through at the rim for attachmen; dark brown patina, partly shiny, provenance Amadou Bouaflé.
