A male Senufo, rhythm pounder, deble, Ivory Coast, standing on a heavy cylindrical base, long, slender, slightly bent legs, well emphasized genitals, an abstract elongated torso with pointed navel surrounded by ornamental scarification patterns, rounded shoulders, arms resting in front, wearing one bracelet on each wrist and three rings on each upper arm, an elongated cylindrical neck supporting an oval head with a flat, a sloping heart-shaped face, a pointed chin, a protruding mouth with rows of teeth beneath a long nose leading to high arched brows, framed by coffee-bean eyes, bordered all around, triangular ears, incised broad straight lines on the cheeks, the torso, the back and the buttocks, capped by a single-crested arching coiffure; fine reddish, traces of age and use, incl. stand.
