A Senufo female sculpture, Northern Ivory Coast, standing without feet on a cylindrical base, short bent legs ending in a prominent buttocks, a slender torso with a pointed navel, long arms carved close to the body, hanging, tapering breasts, bracelets around the arms, a medallion around the neck, notched back line, large, protruding eyes, slightly opened bulging mouth, scarification marks on the body and the face, a hairstyle with a pony-like braid in front of the face, and further braid at the back of the head; reddish patina, traces of age and use, several cracks, partly eroded.
