A male Baule sculpture, Ivory Coast, posted on a circular base, seating on a one legged stool, with flattened feet, one hand touching the striated goatee, the other holding an egg in its hands, a finely curved mouth, beneath a narrow linear nose leading to arching brows, open almond-shaped eyes, semicircular ears, scarification marks all over the sculpture, capped by a domed, fine striated four parted coiffure; brown to reddish surface, traces of age and ritual use.
