A Bamana maternity with the traditional Bamana headdress, collected in the village Kase, Tamani region, about 60 km from Segou, standing on a rounded base, flattened feet, shortened legs, a slender torso with a pointed navel and prominent breasts, the openwork arms carved close to the body, a columnar neck is supporting an oval head with an abstract heart-shaped fascial plane, the nose elongated, framed by pigtails and circular ears on each side of the head, occhre to reddish surface patina.
