A Mossi mask with superstructure (Kô), Karanga, region Pâ, village Pâ, Burkina Faso, of hollowed triangle form, with convex face, two hemispherical pierced eyes, atop is a large hornbill, two branches spring from the plank, pierced through at the rim for attachment, the entire mask is decorated with incised geometrical ornaments; carved from three pieces of brown wood, traces of use and age, several cracks, incl. stand.
