A Baule mask, of oval hollowed form, stylized mouth with full lips beneath a wide nose with prominent nostrils, leading to high arched brows, framed by large eyes with heavy lowered eyelids, scarification marks on the forehead, on the temples, above the bridge of the nose and at the corners of the mouth, capped by a seven-parted coiffure with two braids on the side, pierced through at the rim for attachment; blackened patina with traces of age and ritual use, incl. stand.
