An Akan or Fanti fertility figure, Ghana, standing on partly eroded feet, the genitals are accentuated, the torso with a pointed navel and tapering breasts, without arms, the ringed cylindrical neck supporting a cubistic head, a pointed mouth beneath a triangular nose, incised semicircular eyes, scarification marks on the face, wearing rows of fine colorful pearls around the neck and the hips; brownish partly shiny patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks, incl. stand.
