A male Senufo Rhythm Pounder, called Déblé, from the region Korogho, village Diantèmè, standing on a tall cylindrical base, slender slightly bent legs, an abstract elongated torso, the navel is decorated with linear scarification marks, rounded shoulders, the arms are elongated and show a broad bracelet, the hands clenched to fists are resting next to a loincloth, the elongated slender neck carries an oval head with a protruding mouth beneath an elongated nose leading to deep cut brows and bean-like eyes, the fascial plane with its fine stylized features shows a high degree of abstraction, the coiffure forming a triangular crest on the top and two parts hanging on the sides; dark brown patina, traces of age and ritual use, hard wood.
