A Yaure mask, from the region Dimbokro, a large mouth with full lips, a slender naturalistic nose leading to high arched brows, the eyebrows extend beyond a semicircle, a large perforated eyes, the eyelids half closed, large ears with a prominent tragus, a high forehead, linear scarification marks on the forehead, on the top of the head a Kalao bird, the mask is pierced through at the rim for attachment; exceptionally fine reddish to blackened patina with white pigments, traces of age and ritual use, incl. stand.
