A female Attie sculpture, village Akoupé, region Akoupé, sitting on a two legged stool, fragmentary feet, muscular legs ending in prominent buttocks, accentuated genitals, a slender torso with a pointed navel and wooden pins on the front and the backside, conical breasts, muscular arms, holding a vessel above her head, the elongated neck supporting an oval head, a slit mouth beneath a slender nose with a broad tip, high arched brows, scarification marks above the bridge of the nose, large coffee-bean shaped eyes, hemispherical ears projecting outwardly, further wooden pins for ritual medicine placed on the face and the neck, the head capped by a grooved hairline of rhomboid patterns, she carries a small barrel on her head; brown to reddish patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks.
