A Kran / wobe mask, from the region Danané, Liberia/Ivory Coast, of oval hollowed form, a large protruding snout, a prominent hook-nose, eyes in the form of small circular holes, protruding cheeks, an angular sloping helmet-like forehead, on the top of the head a bent nail for fetish material; the mask is pierced through at the rim for attachment; brown sacrification patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks, incl. stand.
