A most extraordinary Senufo Rhythm pounder, called Déblé, Ivory Coast, region of Korhogo village Sinematialé, the shape of this large Senufo figure is remarkable, with its very short legs, its arms forming a 0 and its elongated, pointed head on a curved neck, it is somewhat reminiscent of the shape of a musical instrument; a beautiful touch patina enhances its long-lasting ritual use.
