m Pounder, called Déblé, from the region Bingué, used for the socalled double-ceremony-dance, standing on a tall cylindrical base, slender slightly bent legs, an abstract elongated torso, small firm breasts, a loincloth covers meagerly the buttocks, a big protruding navel, rounded shoulders, the arms are surrounded by two carved bangles each, the hands clenched to fists are resting in front of the abdomen, the elongated slender neck carries an oval head with a square protruding mouth beneath an elongated nose leading to big protruding eyes, the fascial plane with its fine stylized features shows a high degree of abstraction, capped by a domed coiffure with a crest on the top and two braids on the sides; brown patina, traces of age and ritual use, several cracks, hard wood.
