A Kô crocodile mask from the region Tieriba, village Tieriba, alongside the Nunuma and Gurunsi, Burkina Faso, of hollowed form and large proportions, an elongated snout, a wide open mouth showing two rows of conical teeth, the nostrils are forward and elevated at the top of the head, bulging bean-shaped eyes, decorated with incised geometric patterns, surmounted by a Kalao bird (Hornbill), the mask pierced through around the rim for attachment; encrusted brown patina with traces of kaolin, sign of age and ritual use, incl. stand.
