A Nunuma flying bat mask from the region Nouna, Burkina Faso, of hollowed form, an elongated open mouth beneath target-shaped eyes, a raised ridge running perpendicular between the eyes, atop a chameleon, decorated with incised lines and triangles, around the rim pierced through for attachment; the entire mask is carved from a single piece of wood, traces of use and age, incl. stand.
