A Baule mask, Ivory Coast, of hollowed oval form, an slightly open mouth, a slender nose ending in high arched brows, pierced crescent-shaped eyes, the face encircled by zigzag patterns, the mask is wearing an intricately incised coiffure, on the top of the head a Kalao bird, the mask is pierced through at the rim for attachment; brown patina, traces of age and ritual use, incl. stand.
