A Gôdé mask from the region Bouaké, village Béoumi, Ivory Coast, of hollowed form, a protruding, open mouth showing two rows of teeth, a triangular nose leading to deep cut, high arched brows, pierced crescent-shaped eyes, scarification marks of varied patterns on the temples and the cheeks, hemispherical ears, wearing an incised coiffure, on the top of the head four horns, the mask pierced through at the rim for attachment; blackened patina, traces of age and ritual use.
