A female Bamana sculpture, Mali, female, shortened legs, ending up in prominent buttocks, a concave back, the slender torso with a pointed navel and rhomboidal incisions, large conical breasts, square shoulders with the continuation of the rhomboical incisions, the openwork arms close to the body bent just a little bit at the elbows, a thin long neck is supporting big head with a small protruding mouth, a long nose and nails as eyes, the ears like an inverted C with holes to attach jewellery, a spot in front of the left ear repaired in Mali with metal clips, the coiffure consists of five braided pigtails that lie close to the head; fine, aged patina with an excellent touch-patina at the face, nipples and upper arms of the sculpture.
