A Senufo bronze mask of the Korhogo region, Northern Ivory Coast, of oval hollowed form, the diminuitive jutting fascial plane with open mouth pierced through, the slender, triangular nose with a raised ridge framed by sliteyes with high arched brows, curved, tapering horns on each side, the mask is surrounded with abstract appendages of different geometric forms, at the rim holes for attachments; aged, oxidized and partly encrusted patina, an extremly thinwalled mask, which verifies a high-professional skill of the blacksmith, who was the creator of this work.
