A Dogon monkey mask from the Bandiagara region, the elongated face ends at the lower end with a triangular rounded beard part with pronounced vertical lines, the square open muzzle houses five metal teeth. The upper part of the mask is framed by a protruding long nose and two side parts. The square eye holes approximately in the middle, at the upper end an ornamental band holds the mop of hair together, where the ears are also located to the right and left of it.Provenance Mohamed Belo Garba.
