A female Jimini sculpture from the region of Tehini, Ivory Coast, standing on wedge-shaped feet, short legs, a slender torso with a protruding navel and tapering breasts, above the navel a square incision, the arms crossed at wrist height, the statue wears a kind of lanyard around the thick neck, the mouth closed and the corners of the mouth lifted like smiling, the triangular nose is connected to the closed eyes, a high forehead, a crested hairstyle; a few small age cracks on the back and one on the left wrist, matte patina, traces of age and ritual use.
