A Baule/Yaur mask from the Dimbokro region, of hollowed oval pointed form, closed mouth with semicircular lips, under a narrow nose, pierced narrow eyes leading to high arching eyebrows, scarification marks with geometrical motifs on the forehead, and the temples, the mask crowned by a striped three-parted coiffure, a few round holes pierced at the rim of the mask for attachment; brownish surface, traces of age; Provenance Mr. Cabinet.
