A Baule mask, Ivory Coast, from the Sakassou region, of ollowed form with broad rim with round holes, the facial part set off with a zigzag band running around, ending above the forehead with the figure of a monkey, its front paws resting on the forehead with scarification marks, at the temple positions half circles with ornaments consisting of zigzag lines, high arched eyebrows set off with two stripes, carved almond-shaped eyes, triangular nose, protruding mouth; dark brown patina, traces of age.
