A female Bete sculpture, standing on wedgeshaped feet, slightly bent legs, prominent buttocks, a columnar torso with pointed navel, scarification patterns all over the abdomen and the hanging breasts, the arms carved close to the body, a thick, elongated neck supporting an ovoid head with fascial features, which are influenced by the Dan people, an asymmetric coiffure with three pigtails, one with an old repair; fine, partly glossy patina, which shows a longlasting ritual use by a touch-patina in particular on the neck.
