A Yaure or Baule Doubleface mask, surmounted with a male figure in seated position. In a way, this mask is reminiscent of the well-known moon mask of the Yaure, with the difference that here two faces can be seen in the nearly circular shape of the mask. It can be assumed that a female counterpart to this dance mask originally existed, since masks with human facial features always come in pairs, see the Mblo masks and its intergration in the dance ceremonies of the Baule.
