A Songye sculpture, Zaire, a powerful Nkisi, sitting in a wooden vessel with fetish attachments beneath the breast, a hole instead of a navel to put in fetish attachments like an animal tooth or a little horn and additional an animal horn and human or animal hair on top of the head and around the waist; some age cracks, occre to blackened patina with a thick sacrificial layer.
