A Baule mask, Ivory Coast, of oval, hollowed form, the pointed mouth, beneath a slender nose, ending up in prominent arched brows, framed by sliteyes, pierced through, scarification signs on the cheeks, the temples and on the forehead, on top an unidentified animal.; brown to reddish patina, signs of age and ritual use, the rim is partly fragmentary, the animal with insect damages on the left side, heavy, dense wood.
