A female Mende sculpture, Liberia, standing on her legs, knees slightly bent protruding navel, scarification on her stomach and chest, a long ringed neck on top of which a smaller oval shaped head composed of delicate facial features, small pulpous lips, small pointed nose and slit closed eyes, a bulbous forehead, with a beautiful hairdo intricately carved; fine resinous patina, glossy by use.

It is unknown whether these figures can also be attributed to the Bundu masks of the Mende, which belong to one of the few secret organizations of West Africa, which are exclusively operated by women.
