A male Ibo guardian sculpture, Nigeria, of tall dimension, standing on a stepped black base, a tall, slender male figure rises. It stands on block-like feet that merge into black, ringed cuffs, the legs are column-like as is the torso. On it we see a fluted broad band that extends from the genitals to the chest and spreads across the ribcage in a T-shaped design. The rounded shoulders merge into angled arms that also have cuffs, a long, thick neck carries an oval head with the typical scarifications of the Ibo/Igbo figures, this impressive large figure is crowned by an impressive comb that has the same color such as scarifications and the cuffs. This comb is probably very fragmentary due to moisture, but this does not detract much from the impressive overall impression.
