A feamle Dan sculpture, Ivory Coast, seated on a two-legged stool shaped like a person's legs and buttocks, sturdy feet, the torso, the back and the sagging breasts with scarifications, rounded shoulders, slightly bent arms, the hands spread away from the body, wearing a necklace around the sturdy neck, the head with fine very expressive fascial features, a sensual slightly opened mouth beneath a slender nose framed by almond-shaped closed eyes, a domed forehead, the ears are set far back, further scarification marks on the back, the head surmounted by a striated coiffure; a black shiny patina with traces of age and ritual use, damages on her left leg, the right leg was broken off and is reattached with metal clips in an old repair, the same was done with a tear that runs from her face to her leg on the right side. Certificate of origin and provenance.
