A female Senufo sculpture, Ivory Coast, uprising from a cylindrical base with a groove, the shortened legs without feet, protruding buttocks, the slender torso with a slightly arched belly and a pointed navel, sagging breasts, the shoulders sloping, armlets and bracelets on both arms, the hands resting on the tighs, a thin columnar neck supports an oval head, a small mouth beneath a nose with a broad tip, round protruding eyes with wide brows, an Iroquoise-like hairstyle with knots and a braid in the neck and one on each side; the figure is characterized by an old touch patina, which suggests a longlasting ritual use, some small age cracks. Certificate of origin and provenance.
